Ana Vazquez is a Counsel in the Banking & Finance Practice Group at Baker McKenzie Luxembourg, with 22 years of experience in the financial sector and regulatory practice. Ana joined Baker McKenzie in October 2021. She started her career within the legal department of a multi-asset servicing provider in Luxembourg. She subsequently joined a major French banking group with international offices where she became general counsel in 2017. Her practice within the Firm encompasses offering continuous advice to a variety of credit institutions, payment institutions, electronic money institutions and investment firms, and offering a plural and pragmatic vision to her clients. In addition, Ana advises local and foreign insurers, reinsurers and insurance intermediaries on regulatory and contractual matters.

In brief On 2 July 2024, the Luxembourg law (“Law”) implementing the new European framework for the effective and harmonized management of digital risks in the financial sector, namely the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), was published in the Luxembourg official gazette.
